Simply put, a craft fair is an organized event where exhibitors display their crafts for sale. Even though the number of people selling products at craft fairs both full-time and part-time seems to be increasing, it can be tough to decide whether or not craft fairs are for you. There is profit to be had at craft fairs, but you should do your homework before you jump in.

Youve probably heard the saying, Pay attention to the small things, and there is much reason for that. Those who only focus on the large picture, without paying attention to the details will often find they arent as successful as the craft show business owner that does.

The name of the game is to make sales. Gone are the days of merely putting your crafts out for people to buy, and expecting them to just pick them up and hand over their money for the crafts. Craft show buyers are becoming increasingly selective over what they are purchasing, and you need to come up with new and different ways of deliver your crafts to the craft show buyer.

If you have followed my articles in the past, you will know that I truly believe that having credit card accessibility in your craft show booth. This could mean something as simple as calling the bank you deal with and setting up a credit card acceptance package and having one of those old imprint machines and then tallying and sending away the receipts at the end of a craft show.

You could be sitting at a craft show ready to take on the day expecting hundreds� no thousands of people going through the turnstiles and filtering their way into your craft show booth. The first hour is slow; the second brings you a few people and your first sale of the day.
